The Synthesis of Hexagonal Ni Nanoarrays with Sacrificing ZnO Crystal Mode and Its Application for Enzyme-free Glucose Sensing

A noval template was invented with the use of photoresist (PR) and sacrificing ZnO crystal mode and indium tin oxide (ITO)/glass substrate.Compared to other templates, the as-prepared template has many advantages: it is unbreakable, easily removed,it has regular nanopores, and the hole density can be controlled. The ZnO nanorods (NRs) were firstly deposited on the substrate, and then coated with PR by spinning method followed by heat treatment.Remove a thin layer of PR to make the heads of ZnO NRs exposed over the PR membrane. After resolving the ZnO NRs by hydrochloric acid solution, the template with ZnO-like nanopores was obtained. In it nickel-nanorods (Ni-NRs) of regular hexahedron was successfully deposited by liquid-phase reductive deposition method. After deposition, the template was easily removed in mild conditions.Compared with ZnO crystals, the Ni-NRs have similar shape, equal diameters--300nm and shorter length--1.2μm.And their morphological characterization was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).In the process of removing a layer of PR,by regulating the thickness of the moved PR,the density of ZnO NRs was controlled, and so we can determine the density of Ni NRs.As nickel can catalyze glucose oxidation, their properties for enzyme-free glucose sensing were characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and typical amperometry techniques. It was studied that the electroanalitical signal were related to the density of Ni NRs and the reaction was diffusion controlled and the as-prepared high density Ni-NR array electrode shows an excellent sensitivity of 214μAmM?1cm?2 with the limit of detection (LOD) (S/N ratio = 3) of 10μM for glucose detecting.
