Influence of chemical composition and porosity of iron ore on the formation of liquid phase in sintering process
Assimilation characteristic reflecting the beginning formation temperature of liquid phase plays important role on the formation and flow of liquid phase, and strength of sinter body in the sintering process further.12 kinds of iron ore ” s assimilation characteristics were researched and analyzed. In addition, pure reagent simulating tests of influence of chemical composition on assimilation characteristic were conducted. The results gained are as follows.(1) Australian limonite iron ores and South African hematite iron ore had lower LATs;(2) Si02 and LOI promoted the assimilation of iron ore,low A1203 content 《 1.50-/o ) was good to the assimilation, but high A1203 content (;1.50-/o ) was bad,in addition, higher Mgo content was adverse to assimilation for magnetite concentrate;(3) Higher porosity was conducive to assimilation by reason of higher reaction area and better assimilation reaction dynamic condition.
