Effect of coke reactivity on softening-melting properties of blast furnace comprehensive burden
Recently,the study of possibility of using high reactivity coke in blast furnace have been concerned much because of its improvement of coupling effect between iron ore reduction and coke gasification reactions in lump zone.In order to further study the effect of high - reactivity coke on blast furnace,the influence of coke reactivity on softening-melting properties of blast furnace comprehensive burden is researched in this paper by using four kinds of coke with different reactivity.The results show that with the increase of coke reactivity in a proper range,softening zone and melting zone become narrow,and dripping temperature and the maximum pressure drop of bed decrease.However,when the coke reactivity is too high,the melting zone and the maximum pressure drop of bed have increase tendency.Therefore,considering of the softening-melting temperature range and pressure drop of bed,the coke reactivity should be in a proper range,in which the improvement of coke reactivity could improve the softening-melting properties of blast furnace burden and bed permeability.
