Surface quality improvement for flat & long products with the SIFC process

　　Surface quality of cast products it ” s the very key to a successful final product,especially in the automotive industry.For this to be achieved it is necessary to have control of casting parameters and most important to avoid clogging of casting nozzles.The control of metallurgical parameters such as slag reactions,aluminum content and nitrogen pickup are some of the most important parameters to achieve the above.The SIFC involves all the above-mentioned parameters.It is shown that first clogging of casting nozzles can be avoided.Second this process can control that complex combination of metallurgical parameters.Last but not least it is shown that surface quality of cast products can be dramatically improved by the use of this process for both flat and long products.
