Analysis of the morphology and defect of chromium electroplating on double cold rolling steel strip
Tin free steel strip is obtained after chromium plating on the surface of double cold rolling steel strip,the surface morphologies of TFS are effected by the surface quality of the steel substrate.In the production process,some white spots can be seen in partial products by visual observation,and the surface luminance is not enough.At the same time,these areas are prone to rust in the damp heat test.To solve these problems,the surface morphologies were observed by use of scanning electron microscope ( SEM ),and the elemental composition of the defects are analysed using energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS),pointing out the influence factors on the surface morphology and the defects.At the same time,this paper also analyzes influence of the process conditions and substrate morphology on performances of TFS.
