Recent trend of refractory for steelmaking in Japan
Regarding the refractory industry in Japan,more than 75% of refractory consumption is for the steel industry.It” s very important that the relationship of mutual cooperation between steelmaking customer and refractory maker.So we need to continue to provide stable and high quality refractory products to meet the criteria used in steelmaking customers.A recent representative example of the development achievements is refractory products applied various technologies.One of the technologies application has realized to reduce the carbon content in the refractories used for steel refining furnace,it has improved the property and has controlled the heat dissipation from the steel shell of furnaces.And regarding the continuous casting,Cao system submerged entry nozzles are useful to prevent nozzle clogging under casting.In developing new refractories,not only we believe that we have to pursue excellent durability,but we need to consider and overcome many issues like refuse,C02 emission or 3 R ( Reduce,Reuse,Recycle).
