Aerosol Variations in Boundary Atmospheres:Review and Prospect
Atmospheric aerosols play important roles in climate and atmospheric chemistry: They scatter sunlight,provide condensation nuclei for cloud droplets,and participate in heterogeneous chemical reactions.To enable better understanding of the vertical physical,chemical and optical feathers of the aerosols in East Asia,using some atmospheric and aerosol measument instruments on board a kind of tethered-balloon system,a series of measurements were operated in some typical areas of East Asia,incluing Dunhuang,which is located in the source origin district of Asian dust and Beijing,which is the representative of large inland city during the years of 2007-2011.Mineral composition and microbial components carried by the airborne particles were both analyzed.Moreover,the simultaneous observations over the districts of China,Japan and Korea supported by an international cooperative project are highly expected.
