Research on the Microinsurance in the Process of Urbanization
Urbanization in China is under a rapid development stage.Its main manifestation is the rural labor force transformation in which the farmer workers coming to the cities are the main stream force in the economic construction.The farmers coming to the cities after having lost their land for cultivation are restricted in employment,income and consumption owing to their level of education and the structure of knowledge.To engage in heavy physical and simple labor with low income will likely be their main work in a period of time.To resist various unpredictable risks will be the important problem for them to face if they want to live in the cities for quite a long period of time.The importance of the guarantee to them must be attached just like the guarantee to the lower- income citizens.Therefore we must take suitable,harmonic and stable guarantee measures to adapt to the urbanization.The microinsurance is a preferable choice.Starting with the theoretical basis of the microinsurance with the aid of the international experience and the experiments of the rural microinsurance,this paper presents the necessities and the feasibilities of the microinsurance in the process of urbanization and puts forward the proposals of developing the rural microinsurance,probes into the stable transformation of the rural labor force with the services of the insurance and provides with the powerful supporting ways of speeding up the urbanization.
