Fatigue properties of thin superalloys electron beam welded joint

  The fatigue properties of thin superalloys electron beam welded joint have been investigated.Tests have been performed in air at 25 ℃ under stress control.S-N curve has been achieved,and test data dispersion has been analyzed.Damage processes have been characterized on the fracture surface using scanning electron microscopy (SEM).It is demonstrated that fatigue dispersion coefficient is 5.9 when the reliability is 99.87%.And fatigue fracture of GH4169 EB-joint is brittle.The fatigue origin generally appears on the specimen surface,a radial propagation can be observed from the initiation site.Part of specimens appears a plurality of fatigue source and presents a multi-source fatigue failure.
