Functional Study of LRR-RLK Receptor Kinases and CLE Peptide Hormone in Plant Vascular Development

Leucine-rich repeat receptors like kinases (LRR-RLKs) represent the largest group of protein receptor kinases in the Arabidopsis thaliana genome, with more than 200 members, and play roles in diverse biological processes”1”.CLV1 is one of the most studied LRR-RLKs which promotes differentiation of plant stem cells together with CLV2 and CLV3”2”.Arabidopsis BAM (barely any meristem) genes,BAM1-3,encode the three closest CLV1-related receptor kinases required with developmental role opposite to that of CLV1 for both shoot and flower meristem function”3”.
