Synthesis of porous SnO2/carbon microsphere composite for electrode material of supercapacitors
Porous SnO2/carbon microsphere composite has been prepared by a simple hydrothermal method combined with a sub-sequent ZnC12 activation. The composite mainly in spherical shape with particle size ranging from 2 t0 5 μm was successfully used as electrode material for supercapacitor. The composite electrode showed higher specific capacitance, lower equivalent series resist-ance and better rate capability than pure porous carbon microsphere prepared via the same method, indicating a promising application prospect in supercapacitors or other energy storage devices in the future.
