A New Hydrothermal Synthesis Method for Preparing γ-MnOOH Crystal

  The present work describe a new preparing process of the square schistose γ-MnOOH crystals under the hydrothermal condition by adding cobalt-ethylenediamine complex and the reaction material KMnO4 and MnCl2 are used.The results show that when the mass percentage of cobalt-ethylenediamine complex is 10%, the γ-MnOOH crystal is obtained at 140℃ and at 120℃ the precursor——Mn2O3 is obtained.When the temperature is raised to 200℃, the γ-MnOOH crystal is transformed to Mn3O4 crystal.
