Cultural Self-awareness and Construction of Cultural Soft power
There is an inherently necessary connection between cultural self-awareness and construction of soft power.Constructing and developing cultural soft power inherently needs the enhancement of cultural self-awareness, whereas cultural self-awareness is the ideological foundation and prerequisite of cultural soft power construction.On the one hand, the construction of cultural soft power calls for cultural self-awareness.To upgrade our cultural soft power, we must have cultural self-awareness, a right concept of cultural development and a right attitude toward it.On the other hand,cultural self-awareness can help us establish a fight concept of cultural development and a right attitude toward it.Only through the development of cultural self-awareness can we understand the status of Chinese culture, grasp the principles of cultural development of socialism with Chinese characteristics and undertake the mission of upgrading and developing cultural soft power consciously.This paper tries to grasp the inherent connection and interaction between cultural self-awareness and cultural soft power construction and improve the self-awareness, enthusiasm and initiative of cultural soft power construction through cultural self-awareness, which will in turn greatly promote our cultural soft power.
