A Promising Natural Product for Tumor Treatment

　　After launching chemotherapy for tumor treatment, phytochemicals have become an important part of antineoplastic drugs.Wogonin is a naturally occurring flavonoid extracted from Scutellaria baicalensi Georgi.It has been shown that wogonin has potential antitumor effect reported by several research teams.Wogonin are not only cy tostatic but also cytotoxic to various human tumor cell lines in vitro (sarcoma S180, Raji, hepatoma cell SMMC-7721 etc.) and inhibit xenografted tumor growth in vivo (lymphoeytes, sarcoma S180, gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 etc).
