Effect of adding sodium taurocholate to astaxanthin on pigmentation in Blood parrot(Cichlasoma synspilum ♀×Cichlasoma citrinellum ♂)
This experiment was conducted to study that whether sodium taurocholate as feed additives to promote the absorption of astaxanthin shrimp in Blood parrot.The test was divided into 6 groups.These groups were feeding with fundamental feed, fundamental feed enriched with sodium taurocholate”s concentration of 400mg/kg, 1200mg/kg, 2000mg/kg plus 4‰ astaxanthin, and 4‰ astaxanthin only.Blood parrot of more than 95% faded area were chosen for this experiment.It was found that the effects of supplementation of astaxanthin plus sodium taurocholate in feed and adding astaxanthin only had significant differences at the end of coloring(P<0.05).Studies have shown that a certain level of dietary sodium taurocholate can promote astaxanthin pigmentation on B1oodparrot and raise the utilization rate of the astaxanthin.
