Poverty & Disability/Disability&Poverty:Insights from the Myanmar National Disability Survey
although the relationship between poverty and disability, and disability and poverty has been described, less is known about the contributory pathways by which poverty leads to higher rates of disability, and by which disability leads to higher rates of poverty. The Myanmar National Disability Survey demonstrated that households which included a person with disability have higher rates of landlessness (p<0.001),reliance on casual labour (p<0.001) and lack of livelihood assets (p=0.004) than households without a PwD.
