Protection of Plant A Extract by CO2 Supercritical Fluid Extraction from S-metolachlor Injury

  to our knowledge,many chemical safeners have been synthesized up till now and it is commonly accepted that safening is achieved by induction of related enzymes involved in degradation of herbicides,but very few safeners were produced from plant materials and microbe.To find some natural compound from plants active in protecting crops from herbicides injury,we have studied activity of plant A extract by CO2 supercfitical fluid extraction in protecting rice seedlings from damage of S-metolachlor,our study showed that a range of concentrations of plant A extract significantly helped rice seedlings growth recover from obvious inhibition by certain concentration of S-metolachlor(0.01g/L),protective effect of 4g/L extracts was best among these extract concentrations,whereas,protective effect went down as extract concentrations went up to 16 and 32 g/L.Under inhibition of 0.02g/L herbicide S-metolaehlor,protective effect by extract correspondently rolled downhill.Data from our investigation showed that height and weight of rice seedling were significant affected,but roots length didn”t not affected,the reason is that S-metalachor barely influenced the roots growth.
