Comparative study on the long-term effects of open aortic aneurysm repair and endovascular graft exclusion on patients complicated by infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms and coronary artery disease
Background The perioperative and longterm mortality rates are high in patients in conjunction with symptomatic coronary artery disease (CAD) and infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm (IAAA).Open aortic aneurysm repair (OAAR) and preliminary coronary artery intervention can both eliminate the risk of rupture and reduce cardiac events. However,we do not know whether endovascular graft exclusion(EVGE).as an alternative therapy for OAAR,has the same effect or not.Aim The aim of this study was to assess and compare the longterm effects of EVGE and OAAR in patients with IAAA and CAD after percutaneous transcoronary angioplasty.
