CD68, More Than a Macrophages” Maker in Clear-Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma
Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the commonest malignancy of the primary kidney cancers. Many prognosticators of RCC were used to predict clinical outcome.Even Fuhrman grading system, one of the most excellent and widespread usage prognosticators,is not perfectly accurate when used alone.CD68,a transmembrane glycoprotein located within lysosomes and endosomes, serves as a marker of monocyte/macrophages lineages. It is a malignant performance that tumor cells adopt a macrophage phenotype.
