Study and comparison on biological properties of carboxymethyl-chitosan and carboxymethyl-chitin
Carboxymethyl-chitosan and carboxymcthyl-chitin were prepared by our lab”s method.The DS and DD of the carboxymethyl-chitosan was 103.14% and 97.18%,while the DS of the carboxymethyl-chitin was 96.37%.Their degradability and biocompatibility were evaluated.They both had good degradability and biocompatibility too.Carboxymethyl-chitin degraded a bit faster than carboxymethyl-chitosan,but the latter had better biocompatibility,which had no inflammatory reaction after implanted in vivo for 7 days.
