Growth and Photoelectrical Property of TiO2 Nanorods with an Array-cluster Double-layer Structure

Titanium oxysulfate (TiOSO4) was used as an inorganic titanium precursor to synthesize TiO2 nanorods on transparent conductive fluorine-doped tin oxide ffTO) substrates through a facile hydrothermal process. The Ti(O2 nanorod film was futile phase and exhibited an array/duster double-layer structure.Under the illumination of a solar simulator, the short-circuit photocurrent dcnsity of TiO2 nanorods reached up to 0.17 mA/cm2,which was over twice that of the samples originated from organic titanium isopropoxide under the same reaction conditions.Multi-dimensional structure and the participation of inorganic oxysulfate (OSO44-) anion contriibute to the enhanced photocurrent response of TiO2 nanorod films.
