Clinical applications of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring

　　Clinical application of therapeutic drug monitoring aims at improving patient care by individually adjusting the dose of drugs base on the data collected from therapeutic drug monitoring.TDM is clinically significant in maximizing efficacy,avoid toxicity,identifying therapeutic failure,facilitating adjustment of dosage and facilitating therapeutic effects.The inclusive criteria for drug requiring TDM are those with narrow therapeutic range,those that shows poor relationship between dose and serum drug concentrations,those with non-linear pharmacokinetics,and those when lack of therapeutic effect can be dangerous to the patient.
