GD04-001 Experimental study of nanosecond laser produced plasma dynamics using time-resolved shadowgraph
Optical shadowgraph probing of a focused nanosecond laser produced copper plasma plume was investigated experimentally.The temporal evolution of hydrodynamic expansion of the plume was presented and the formation of a shock wave at the plasma-gas interface was also observed.Global plasma profiles from targets with different size were compared and no significant difference found.
