The Effect of PVDF Concentration on PVDF/Woven Tube Composite Membrane and the Application of Composite Membrane in SMBR

  Using fiber woven tube for support layer,high strength and water flux PVDF/woven tube composite hollow fiber membrane were prepared through the coating technology and immersion-precipitation technique.The effect of PVDF contents in casting solution on membrane pure water flux and porosity were investigated;using the homemade composite membrane in SMBR reactor,the rejection effect on particles and changes of composite membrane performance were also studied.With the increase of PVDF concentration in casting solution,the composite membrane pure water flux and the average pore diameter has decreased,while burst pressure increased,the porosity increased first and then decreased.In the research,the porosity of composite membrane always above 45%,burst pressure is higher than 0.30MPa,the tensile strength of composite membrane is very high.In SMBR application of composite membrane,although the membrane operation at high flux(here was 20±0.5 L.m2·h-1),the TMP keep under 5.5kPa,the permeability of membrane up to 3.7 L.m-2.h-1.kPa-1.The study showed that homemade composite hollow fiber membrane can operation at high flux and low pressure in membrane bioreactor,which has a good ability to resist pollution and showed a good effect on particles rejection.
