Full-scale Experiment Study of the O3 and H2O2/O3 with BAC Process for Treating Organic Matters in Drinking Water
Ozone-Biological Activated Carbon(O3-BAC) is a widely-used advanced water treatment technology.O3 and H2O2/O3 advanced oxidation on O3-BAC-Sand combined process treatment effect in different periods is summarized,and different dosage on effluent quality influence is compared at the same time.Operation results indicate that O3 and H2O2/O3 can effectively reduce organic matters to small organic matters.The removal rate of organic matters increase with dosage when ozone dosage were 1.0,1.5 and 2.0 mg/L.The total removal rates of BDOC were respectively 39%,45% and 73%,which went up with ozone dosage increasing.H2O2/O3 has slightly better treatment effects than O3 alone.Sand filter had stable turbidity removal rate,which maintained above 87%.High temperature is favorable to microbial degration of BAC and quartz sand.
