The Development History of APCDE

摘要：

　　The number of people with diabetes mellitus worldwide is soaring with the largest number residing in the Western Pacific Region.Patients with diabetes demand long term and multidisciplinary control in order to delay or slow the development of systemic macro-and microvascular complications.In this regards,diabetes education and management provide a collaborative process through which people with or at risk for diabetes gain the knowledge and skills needed to modify behavior and successfully self manage the disease and its related conditions in the hope to achieve optimal health status,better quality of life and reduce medical costs.
