美国疼痛医学的培训

摘要：

　　Pain Medicine is not a separate medical specialty yet in the US.There are no Pain Medicine Departments.Training in Pain Medicine is done in existing other specialties department,mostly anesthesiology.The Pain Medicine Fellowship is managed by the American Board of Anesthesiology,jointly with 3 other specialties.So far,ABA has produced about 4,000 graduates,while the American Board of Pain Medicine has 2,100 diplomates.Pain care is provided by chronic pain management”programs”,operated by accredited and non-accredited facilities and individual physicians,in universities,hospitals,or freestanding clinics;also,pain therapy services provided by individual doctors via inoffice settings.
