Neurotransmitter Receptors and Depression in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease
Depression and coronary artery disease (CHD) have a bidirectional relationship, coronary artery disease can cause depression and depression is an independent risk factor for coronary artery disease and its complications.Although many plausible explanations have been proposed, the biological mechanisms linking depression and CHD remain unclear. In this article,we discussed whether neurotransmitter receptor is contributed to the association of CHD and depression.
