Rhino-Orbito-Cerebral Mucormycosis induced by Short-course dydrogesterone and prednisone therapy:a case report and literature review
Rhino-orbito-cerebral mucormycosis(ROCM) was the most commonly form of mucormycosis.Suspectable factors such as uncontrolled hyperglycemia,ketoacidosis,particular medicines (dydrogesterone and prednisone) would and specific season offer an added advantage to this fumgal invasion.Because of its progressivity courses,a delay in diagnosis means a worse prognosis for the disease.To eliminate the disturbances in internal environment and to take appropriate antifungal as well as surgery therapy were the core of the treatment.
