Martensitic transformations of Fe-Mn-based alloys
Fe-Mn-Al-Si is the basic alloy system for the TRIP/TWIP steels.In order to determine the alloying effect on the thermodynamic stability of metastable austenite at low temperatures,in this work,an experimental work has been done to study the martensitic transformations of Fe-Mn-Al and Fe-Mn-Al-Si alloys.The results show that Al promotes the α” martensitic transformation and inhibits the ε martensitic transformation,while Si promotes the ε martensitic transformation.In addition,both Al and Si change the α/γ phase equilibrium at high temperature,thus affect the following martensitic transformations.
