Design and formation mechanism of liquid immiscible alloy powders with crystalline/amorphous composite microstructure
Liquid immiscible alloy systems having a positive enthalpy of mixing between the two major elements, are characterized by the stable or metastable liquid miscibility gap. When the melt is rapidly cooled into the liquid miscibility gap,the liquid phase separation takes place and the liquid separates into two liquids.
