A thermodynamic optimization of the Mo-Nb-Zr system
The thermodynamic description of the Mo-Nb-Zr system has been carried out using the CALPHAD technique.The ternary system is optimized based on the reported thermodynamic parameters of the Mo-Nb,the Mo-Zr and the Nb-Zr systems.The solution phases (liquid,bcc and hcp) are modeled with the Redlich-Kister equation.A sublattice model (Mo,Nb,Zr)2(Mo,Zr) is applied for the compound Mo2Zr due to the dissolving of the element Nb.A set of self-consistent thermodynamic parameters of this ternary system was obtained.
