Experimental investigation of phase equilibria in the Mg-Pb-X(X=Zn,Sn)ternary systems

The phase equilibria in the Mg-Pb-Zn and Mg-Pb-Sn ternary systems were investigated by means of optical microscopy,electron probe microanalysis and X-ray diffraction.Three isothermal sections of Mg-Pb-Zn ternary system at 200 ℃,300 ℃,400 ℃ were experimentally established.Experimental results show that the solubility of Zn in the Mg2Pb phase increases with an increase in temperature from 200 ℃ to 400 ℃.
