Low temperature transitions of the A-site ordered YBaMn2O6 compound
The A-site ordered compound YBaMn2O6 was prepared by solid state reaction.Low temperature structural and magnetic properties of YBaMn2O6 were investigated by means of temperature dependent x-ray powder diffraction, magnetic measurements. An antiferromagnetic transition occurs at TN ≈190K.Abrupt elongation of the a-axis and b-axis and contraction of the c-axis were observed at T≈180K,indicating the occurrence of orbital ordering at Mn3+ site.Time relaxation measurements of thermal remnant magnetization (TRM) and isothermal remnant magnetization (IRM) evidenced that the divergence between Zero-field-cooled and field-cooled susceptibilities at low temperature could be ascribed to a spin glass like behavior.
