A Research of Longo procedure (PPH) in the Management Of outlet obstructed constipation
Objective:To evaluate the application of Longo”s procedure (procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids,PPH) in the patients of constipation(OOC).Methods:60 cases of outlet obstructed constipation ( rectal mucosal prolapse 45 cases,rectal mucosal prolapse with rectocele 10 cases,rectocele 5 cases respectively) were treated by PPH.Results:58 cases could empty bowls smoothly post- operation with once PPH treatment.Conclusion:PPH is effective for the patients of outlet obstructed constipation resulting from rectal mucosal prolapse or/and rectocele.
