The Effects of glycyrrhetinic acid on the pharmacokinetics of cortisol in rats and mice

　　Aim:This study was conducted to assess the pharmacokinetic characteristics of cortisol in rats.Methods:Healthy male 12 SD rats were randomized to given 20mg·kg-1cortisol(F group) or cortisol combined with 10mg·kg-1 glycyrrhetinic acid(F+GA group).Blood samples were collected at 5,10,20,40,60,90,120,150,180,210,240,300,360min after administration of cortisol in F and F+GA groups.The serum concentrations of cortisol were determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
