On the Predictability of an Advection Fog Event in North China Plain: Sensitivity of the Simulation to Initial Errors
Convection-permitting ensemble simulations and sensitivity experiments utilizing Weather Research and Forecast (WRF) model are performed to investigate the predictability of a dense advection fog event on 21 February 2007 in North China Plain.Series of experiments were designed to examine the sensitivity of the simulation to initial errors with respect to different magnitudes, vertical distributions and different variables. The best and the worst member are selected to conduct the experiments based on the differences of initial conditions between them.
