The development of control and robotics
Control now play critical roles in many fields,including manufacturing,electronics,communications,transportation,computers,networks,and many military systems.Automatic control refers to devices and systems capable of corrective action by itself.Automotive control provides several interesting examples of current trends in control—e.g.,adaptive cruise control (ACC)systems,engine control,electric power systems,resource optimization.Robotics include a lot of branches such as industrial robotics,service robotics,entertainment robotics,humanoids,field robotics,automated excavators,autonomous unmanned vehicles (AUV),military robotics,remote surveillance.A necessary functionality for several new areas of robotic application is the interaction between human and robots.In this contribution,we will discuss future trends in automation and robotics based on current trends in control.
