Distribution and Developmental Changes of IL-21-immunopositive Cells in the Thymus of African Ostrich Chicks
Interleukin-21(IL-21) was recently discovered using a functional cloning approach based on expression of its receptor, has been found it influences proliferation of T and B cells and cytolytic activity of natural killer cells, but little is known about its distribution in the thymus of African ostrich chicks. In the present study, the distribution, morphological characteristics, and developmental changes of IL-21-producing cells in the thymus of African ostrich chicks were investigated using immunohistochemistry.
