The expression and localization of Hepatoeyte growth factor (HGF) and its receptor(c-Met) in alpaca of different coat color (Lama pacos)

摘要：

The mechanisms govering formation of mammalian coat color,and how effect numerous hormones,cytokines,growth factors lead to the production of different coat colors are not completely understood.The constitutive color of an individual”s hair is due to absolute tyrosinase activity,rather than levels of tyrosinase protein expression.Hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF/SF) signaling through the tyrosine-kinase recepter,Met,is capable of promoting the proliferation,increasing the motility,and maintaining high tyrosinase activity and melanin synthesis of melanocyte in vitro.
