Properties of Daylight Measured Indoors A Comparison of North and South-facing Window Light
In order to clarify the properties of daylight inside a building, the spectral distribution of daylight entering a building through a north and south-facing window was measured.Measurements were conducted from 8:00 through 15:00 every hour on a clear, sunny day,a fair day,and a slightly overcast day from June 15,2008 through February 7,2009.The total number of measurement days was 11.The results obtained are as follows:1) The relative frequency of indoor daylight in the vicinity of correlated color temperature 6500K was low both at the north and south-facing windows.2) At both the north and south-facing windows, the spectral distribution of the indoor daylight corresponded well to the CIE daylight in the visible wavelength range.
