Applying Six Sigma to Foster a Safety Culture for Coal Enterprises
In order to change the present situation of safety management,based on the importance of safety culture in safety management,we provide a feasible approach to develop a safety culture using Six Sigma methodology for coal Enterprises.Safety culture can be divided into five levels,Emerging,Managing,Involving,Cooperating,Continually Improvement,and assign the core elements of safety culture to each level through increasing consistency.As a result,we can make organizations transform their safety culture from negative to positive and realize the goal of zero injuries.The method will be used to create an atmosphere that promotes safety behavior,and reminds and reinforces the benefits for employees and the organization of working safety,set up perfect safety management system and raise their safety performance continually.
