中国的碳林业:森林可持续经营的碳资产市场前景与需求
In the forest sector in China there is an ongoing paradigm shift from reforesting as many areas as possible, to maximizing forest quality and its multipurpose protection and production functions. Carbon forestry can be considered as one function that can be well aligned with Sustainable Forest Management. In this article a short review of the state of forests in China is provided, highlighting the huge additional sequestration potential that can be captured by introducing certain silvicultural and forest management practices. The existing and evolving carbon market segments are then shortly presented, explaining the requirements for generating carbon assets. The conclusion is that the forest sector in China has to get ready for the evolving national carbon market if it wants to have a real chance to benefit from it.
