The effects of chemical elements on spectral characteristics of plants
Plants lacking of nutrient or suffering from contamination stresses can cause changes of leaf color, shape and structural, nutrient deficiency symptoms and diseases with different appearances. The nutritional status of plants can be reflected in spectral characteristics, and eco - physiology changes of plants are usually reflected on reflection spectra. Therefore, remote sensing, particularly spectral technology plays an important role in the noninvasive, dynamic, and large - scale monitoring of plants health. Moreover, these technologies will have broad application prospects in many ways.In recent decades, the scholars at home and abroad have done a vast amount of work on spectral effects of terrestrial plants and made a good try on theories exploration and methods application. However, studies about aquatic plants are scarce because of technical and methodological constraints. With the improvement of the accuracy of remotesensing, these problems can be eventually solved.
