An ecological index to evaluate the influence of lakeshore on water eutrophication
Aquatic-terrestrial ecotone (ATE) is an important functional interface zone between the freshwater ecosystem and terrestrial ecosystem. It offers water body protection from harmful impacts of terrestrial pollutants, such as nutritive materials and heavy metals. This thesis is based on the ecological reconstruction of lake Wulihu, implemented a deeply study of some research items which affect the ecological functions on the ATE.It is indicated that the nitrogen and phosphorus indexes in water were significantly influenced by the three type(s) lakeshore structure of ATE,wetland lakeshore (WL),gravelly lakeshore (GL),vertical lakeshore (VL).The ability to substrate the nutritive salt of lakeshores are ordered as wetland lakeshore (WL) gravelly lakeshore (GL) vertical lakeshore (VL).An ecological lakeshore index which are proposed from the long term monitoring of the influence of lakeshore on water quality to evaluate its influence power.
