The Shiga prefectural Lake Biwa Museum is located on the south-east shores of Lake Biwa.Naturally,many visitors who come to the museum are from the surrounding area,especially from south-east Shiga,and the area near the Seta River(the only natural outflow of Lake Biwa) to the south.Many residents of north Shiga regard the museum as distant.
