Analysis on Pre-reading Exercises in New Horizon College English:Reading Course Book 1
In reading teaching,schema theory has long been taking a dominant part,which aims to build or arouse students” prior knowledge through various pre-reading exercises in the textbook and improves their reading efficiency.Based on the statistics and research about the pre-reading exercises of 30 writings in New Horizon College English:Reading Course Book 1,Section A,Section B,and Section C,this paper places an emphasis on a more efficient use of pre-reading activities so that English teachers can help the students to make links between the text and their prior knowledge so as to improve the students” reading comprehension and teachers” reading teaching as well.
