One step synthesis of graphite oxide-Fe2O3 composite for degradation of organic contaminants
A one-step and scalable method for the synthesis of graphite oxide(GO)-Fe2O3 is reported.A GO-Fe2O3 catalyst is fabricated during the preparation of GO using the Hummers method by adding Fe(NO3)3 in the low temperature process.The GO-Fe2O3 composite was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
