The Metamorphosis of Project BEACON Biologically,Ecologically,Aesthetically Constructed Shelter Sheltering Life by the Basics
Housing although one of the basic necessities in life is considered as a dormant asset due to the fact there is no direct economic return but rather it continuously incurs cost.The proposed housing units adopts some elements of sustainability for an ecologically friendly environment by utilizing basic utilities which are frequently used inside a regular household and are frequently consumed and economically sustainable through its various features as source of income for the owners.It is aimed to promote a functional building unit through its planning and design composition.It incorporated contemporary living activities into the basic domestic practices for a more convenient,affordable and energy-saving lifestyle.The housing units is designed to maximize space and conceptualized through multi-purpose use of convertible accessories/furniture that naturally blend according to the real and actual need of the user.Biologically,Ecologically,Aesthetically,Constructed Shelters(BEACON)is a housing unit could be aptly called-sheltering life through the basics.The metamorphosis of BEACON 2009 utilized bamboo as an integral structural element of the house.This will address the sustainability of the house itself as envisioned it will also deal with the sustainability not only in construction but as well as the renewability of the sources of materials.
