Agricultural Technology Education Curriculum in the Philippines: Responding to the Challenges of Socio-Economic Growth and Development

Agriculture education institutions in the Philippines play a major role in this task through advancing and sharing of knowledge that will spur the country”s turnaround by producing professionally competent,service -oriented,dedicated,principled,and productive citizens that are needed to transform the country.The Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) is among the key implementers of agriculture education programs in the country.The state university is an active member of the 112 -strong Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges ( PASUC ) and of the 48 - strong Association of Colleges of Agriculture in the Philippines ( ACAP ).The trends in agriculture education,like in the ladderized DAT - BAT program of the Laguna State Polytechnic University,are geared therefore towards complementation partnerships and information networking.The sandwiched program is made to give better opportunities for the students to find employment in order to sustain their dreams of completing a baccalaureate degree.
